Bloukrans Off-Grid Cabin

The self-catering cabin is eco-friendly and completely off-grid. Electricity is provided by a small solar panel to power the lights in the cabin as well as a small inverter powerful enough to charge your phone, camera and other small devices.  Cooking is done on a two-plate gas stove or Weber braai; crockery and cutlery is provided.

 

There is no cell signal or WiFi at the cabin - there is however signal at the swimming dam only 10 minutes’ walk from the cabin.

The accommodation:

• Maximum capacity 4 adults

• 1 bedroom with 2 single beds – can be pushed together or separated

• Day bed – double bed size that can sleep 2 people

• Open-plan style lounge and dining area that opens onto the deck

• Kitchenette with sink and cooking area

• Bathroom with hot water shower, flush toilet, hand basin

• Outside shower with a view of the amphitheatre of mountains

• Swimming dam 10 minute walk from the cabin

Accessibility:

Access to the cabin is on a dirt road.  We recommend that visitors use a raised vehicle such as an SUV or Bakkie to access the cabin.
