Gecko Cottage

Gecko Cottage is one of two renovated old farm cottages.  It is off-grid, with water pumped from a well point, powered by solar and an inverter.  There is Wi-Fi in the cottage, but there is no cell phone reception on the majority of the farm.

The accommodation:

• Maximum capacity 2 adults

• 1 bedroom with 2 single beds – can be pushed together or separated

• Open-plan style lounge and dining area that opens onto a front verandah and another verandah at the back

• Kitchenette with sink, cooking area and fridge

• Bathroom with hot water shower, flush toilet, hand basin

• Small herb garden - harvest seasonal fresh herbs to flavour your dinner

• Seating on the verandah

• Views of the sunset, the farm and surrounding mountains

Accessibility:

Access to the cabin is on a dirt road.  We recommend that visitors use a raised vehicle such as an SUV or Bakkie to access the farm, although a sedan vehicle with reasonable clearance and normal tyres and rims are able to drive the main farm road.
